Swallowtail Finished!

Finally! I just couldn't take a good picture of it. My room is tiny and has poor lighting to boot. This is the best I can do.

I was going to give it away to a friend, but after I put it around my shoulders, I decided to be a selfish fink and keep it. So soft!

Yarn:
Richmore Count 5 Mohair color 102

Really cool looking shawl.......

Your swallowtail looks great in the self striping yarn. You are right to keep it - I don't think non-knitters appreciate hand knits as much as knitters do. Besides, you deserve to be warm!

Dear fleegle,

Really lovely shawl. I always say I'm going to keep a swallowtail shawl for myself but so far I've knit two and own none LOL. I would not blame you at all for keeping it.

Just beautifull.
I was always a bit reluctant to mix lace patterns with variegated yarn but your shawl absolutely proves me wrong. Enjoy it !

Gorgeous job, Harry! Really, you're too unselfish, letting Fleegle take all the credit.

The variegated yarn really made this pattern pop. I'd have never considered it but wow! I think I'd keep it too!

Dear Lori--

Harry didn't knit this shawl, I did. Harry has a real problem with mohair--it sticks to his legs.

But he has been busy designing Harry's Shawl, so at least he left me alone so I could finish it!

Perhaps the "ceramic" yarn people could invent Harry some teflon yarn to knit himself some leg warmers. That'd fix the sticky business. Don't tell me--there's already teflon yarn, isn't there?

Dear Lori--

Of course there's teflon yarn! See here:
