Oh man! what about a smoke ring with the left over? a cowl? or a Moebious scarf? I like the Moebious that way you will use up every single millimeter of the left over.
I really hate it when that happens. Yarnis Interruptis is always very very bad. Still, the shawlette is looking very pretty and a pretty smoke ring would not go amiss! At least yarn exsists in your dye-lot so you can finish. Kick back and relax MS fleegle!
Oh for heaven's sake, do one of those clever cast-offs RIGHT NOW. You know - slip the first stitch over the second, the second over the third - and all the way along to the end. That way you'll get it finished long before this unneccessary new ball arrives.

There's always a solution.
Oh, that sucks!
Dear Jo-
I am on the last row, so I need yarn to finish that as well as yarn for the bind-off. Sigh.
Roy said he would take a pink, fluffy earwarmer and dare people to snicker. So at least I have something to do with the leftovers :)
augh! i feel your pain. :-(
Damn, that sucks.
The same thing happened to me with my Flower Basket Shawl. Good luck with the ripping.
Dear Jessica--
You have taken leave of reality. Rip mohair? Ha haahahaaa.
Nope. I shall wait for the ball to arrive from Yuzawaya next week.
So bad. Maybe somebody has a little extra they're willing to swap or something?
Ugh--how irritating! May your extra yarn arrive quickly!
